ID Geek, a municipal gaming space in southern France, faces closure
ID Geek is a council-run gaming space at the Idéethèque in Les Pennes-Mirabeau, near Marseille, combining consoles, arcade machines, VR and organised sessions within a wider public venue. It offers a thoughtful model of public access to games, but its temporary closure from 1 November 2026 leaves its next chapter unclear.
